Twice a year we ask pupils to complete a self-evaluation of how well they are keeping our school
values of Respect, Honesty, Kindness, Resilience and Responsibility. These self-assessments result in certificates that are presented at the Madejski Awards – our end of year awards ceremony.
The Madejski Awards is a time for celebration as a school with parents and Governors joining us. It is
made even more special by having Sir John Madejski present the certificates to all the children.
As well as receiving their certificates, children from Years 3, 4 and 5 talk about which value they have
kept particularly well over the past year. Children in Year 6 talk about their aspirations for the future
and which of the school values will be particularly useful in helping them to achieve their dreams.
As well as values certificates at the Madejski Awards, the Governors also present their own awards
to a pupil in each year group who have been selected by the School Council for always keeping the
school values and for being a fantastic role model for their year group.
The children receive a certificate and get their names engraved on the Governor Award shield.
Congratulations to the following children who received the Governor Award in July 2022.
