On Wednesday 23rd March, Year 5 went to the community cafe on Northumberland Avenue. We looked around the Whitley Museum and heard from residents about how Whitley had changed over the years. We learnt lots about Whitley during the war and even got to try on the helmets and see a gas mask.
After looking at some photos, we then managed to get the customers of the cafe to try our cakes and scones. It looks as if we may be able to provide the cakes for the cafe as they were a real hit.
